Despite these low results in its main indicators due to the limited availability of platform fish and aquaculture, the willingness of the workers of the entity is to access alternative sources to ensure supplies to the population.

During his last visit to the territory, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee and President of the Republic, found this in exchange with managers of the fishery.
