Young faces with their energies, enthusiasm and commitment starred in a productive day at the organoponic “Las Celias”, in the Special Municipality, in tribute to the 98 birthday of the historical leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro.

An initiative that complements the Summer Camp this year and notes that the new generations, at the foot of the garden, have much to contribute to the socio-economic development of this island.

In the early hours of 13 August, 100 young people helped to prepare the land for three farmers who will later be planted with okra , cabbage and beans in a production unit that also serves members of the FAR and which is already showing results.

The first secretary of the municipal UJC, Dayne González Sábado, said that in greeting the birth of Fidel they are carrying out various activities and that they have made a call from the leader to produce food. They were engaged in land preparation and did so seriously.

He highlighted the response of young people as a pillar of the continuity of the Revolution, not only in food production, but on all fronts of society , full of challenges in the complex times that the country is living.

It is true that the Cuban youth plays a role of extraordinary value and on their shoulders, as Fidel said, can be deposited great tasks such as economic activity-productive, one of the fronts defined in the recently approved Strategy to strengthen the integral role of the UJC, student organizations and youth movements in the present and future of the country.
