The member of the Party's Political Bureau and president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, during his visit today to the Isle of Youth, observed the implementation of the guidelines issued for the development of the accountability process for delegates to their voters and the recommendations made during previous parliamentary visits.

In the Special Municipality, the Local Development strategy aims to have around 1,200 acres of bananas soon, although so far there are 457, with expectations that this year will end with 700.

On the 67 hectares of this prominent producer, there are other crops like guava and potatoes.

The President of the National Assembly of People's Power, during his meeting attended by the top leadership of the territory, asserted that "The Island has to be an example of a municipality in Cuba."

In addition to Lazo, three committees from the National Assembly of People’s Power are touring the local councils in the area to check on the preparations ahead of the delegates' accountability process to their constituents.
