As part of the day "Face to the sun", the island handed over the flag to the delegation that will participate in the national youth seminar of Martianos studies to be held from 15 to 18 September in the province of Camagüey.

Two students from the Youth Island will be representatives of the 45 clubs in different sectors and schools.

On this occasion, the island will be represented by four young people: Sabrina Fraga Quintero, Daniela Pérez Rodríguez, students of 11no. Lavadi Arce, along with the President and Vice-President of the Mariano Youth Movement.

The young participants are concerned about the ideological conception of their country and have a solid job within the Martiano Youth Movement, which has more than 340 members and is characterized by teamwork.

The Day Facing the Sun, which began on January 28 of this year at the Finca El Abra Museum to honor the 171st birthday of José Martí, will extend until January 2026 and seeks, In addition, a better understanding of the Martian concepts which have been an indispensable part of the development of Cuban nationality.
On the occasion of the celebration, the young people of the Youth Movement of the territory also develop different initiatives that positions them as protagonists of this day.
