The sale of uniforms, the construction maintenance in several centers and the registration process are actions that are taking place today on the Island of Youth to start the school year on September 2.

The pine classrooms must be incorporated about 13 thousand students at different educational levels, as highlighted by Ena Nilvia Reyes Torres, municipal director of education.

"At the moment, work is being carried out on the constructive improvements of two fundamental schools such as the Martha Machado Pedagogical Training School and the IPVC América Lavadí, The Ministry of Education has instructed them to receive these jobs every year, which provide greater comfort for students and workers

"Teacher coverage is another issue that we focus on to try to cover all the demand, we still have problems, but a call is made to all teachers who want to be incorporated into the classrooms, as well as professionals to support vocational technical education in the special municipality".

Methodological preparation is vital for better teacher training and that this is reversed in the classes, so they will receive a preparatory seminar in different subjects such as History of Cuba".

Also highlighted Reyes Torres, municipal director of education, that there are limitations for some resources such as notebooks, but they will be given at this first moment according to the need of each student, and that the workbooks for first-year pupils, which are necessary tools for the reading and writing process, are already in place.

In addition, work is being done to ensure the supply of water in schools and pine forests and toilet products such as detergents and chlorine are being supplied to keep common areas and bedrooms clean and thus prevent any disease.
